Building Interfaith Capacity in a Secular Non-Profit

When Covid-19 hit Charlotte, vulnerable families who depend on the public schools to help feed their families found themselves in crisis. OurBRIDGE for Kids stepped up, shifting from its emphasis on after-school tutoring for immigrant and refugee children to meet their families' basic need for food. Queens' team reached out to this community partner, providing training, a promotional brochure, and a Ramadan celebration, all designed to engage the religiously diverse community to which ourBRIDGE belongs.
